You can make a difference

Donations to the Cherry Blossom Festival will help to perpetuate the Japanese culture and continue to enrich the lives of the many young women who participate. All contributions support the Cherry Blossom Festival and directly impact the Queen Contestants and Court. Individuals or companies that contribute monetary donations to the Cherry Blossom Festival are recognized on the Thank You page by donation level.

So we may recognize your donation in our Souvenir Book, please submit your donation form no later than October 5, 2023. FESTIVAL DONORS

Become a Festival Donor by making a contribution that will directly impact our Queen Contestant’s experience by supporting the advancement of the Festival. Festival donors will be listed by contribution level on the donor page.

award donors

Award Donors may contribute cash towards an award that is provided by the Festival. This is similar to typical underwriting sponsorships.

Donor names will be listed alongside the award item on the award page in the souvenir book, as well as by donation value and level on the donor page.

There are a limited number of underwriting award opportunities, please contact the Donor Relations Chair to discuss award donations.

prize donors

Prize Donors are individuals or companies who donate a physical item to be awarded to contestants or to the Queen and/or Court. Prize items must be awarded to a specific title, i.e. Queen, First Princess, Princesses, Miss Congeniality or Miss Popularity or provided to all contestants and/or court members. Additional details and disclaimers will be provided by the Donor Relations Chair.

Donor names will be listed alongside the prize item on the award page in the souvenir book, as well as by donation level on the donor page.

Prizes must be delivered to the Donor Relations Chair by Festival Ball in Spring 2024 for Closing Ceremonies.

DONATE Today

The Cherry Blossom Festival accepts donations via check and credit card. Festival Donors and Award Donors may make credit card contributions securely online using the yellow “donate” PayPal button above.

All donors must also submit the Donor Form via email or mail so we may properly recognize you in our Souvenir Book. Checks should be made payable to: Cherry Blossom Festival, and may be submitted via mail along with the Donor Form. The Donor Form also has a credit card authorization form for credit card payments submitted via email or mail.

Somei Yoshino - Level 1 ($75 - $199)

The Somei Yoshino (Yoshino cherry) is a pale pink flower and blooms in early April. The Yoshino cherry is one of the most popular cherry trees in Japan and is grown across the country.

Shidarezakura - Level 2 ($200 - $499)

The Shidarezakura (weeping cherry) blossoms bloom on drooping branches from late March through mid-April. Some trees in Japan are several hundred years old.

Yaezakura - Level 3 ($500 - $799)

Each blossom of the Yaezakura is big and has layers of beautiful petals. Yaezakura trees bloom from mid-April through late April. At the Tourinuke-no-sakura (cherry blossom tunnel) Garden, you can enjoy 500 Yaezakura trees that are lined up along for about 2 miles.

Kawazu Zakura - Level 4 ($800 - $999)

The Kawazu Zakura trees bloom in early spring. The flowers’ outstanding characteristic is that they are large and pink. The trees are brilliant when they are in peak blooming season. Kawazu-cho in the Izu Peninsula is the birth place of the Kawazu Zakura, where there is a street lined with Kawazu Zakura trees

FUGENZOU - Level 5 ($1,000 and higher)

The Fugenzou are a late blooming sakura, usually blooming in mid to late April. This unusual and rare cherry blossom tree can be characterized by its incredible number of petals (some as many as 40 per blossom), as well as its jagged leaves.

The Cherry Blossom Festival is planning to hold all events, however the City and County of Honolulu, State of Hawaii, and/or CDC may deem it impossible due to COVID-19. There is no cash value for any Cherry Blossom Festival events and tickets are only guaranteed if the event(s) take place at the projected capacity.
